Key Responsibilities
•Conduct site surveys — assess roof structure, takeaway panel layout, shading, and electrical access using meters and hand tools
•Perform system inspections & commissioning — verify connections, test voltages, troubleshoot basic faults, and ensure code compliance .
•Customer-facing communications — present findings, answer questions, and educate clients on system operation and maintenance
•Coordinate with off-site teams — relay survey data, inspection reports, and workflow updates to design, engineering, and installation teams.
•Troubleshoot solar/electrical issues — identify and resolve simple issues with wiring, inverters, grounding, etc.
•Emergency weekend support — respond to urgent service calls as needed, maintaining system reliability and customer satisfaction.
•Documentation & reporting — maintain detailed site records, photo logs, and reporting packages for internal and permit use
Required Qualifications
•Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation required
•Basic solar and electrical knowledge — familiarity with PV systems, wiring, NEC codes, multimeters, and ladders
•Strong communication skills — ability to interact professionally with customers and team members, both verbally and in writing
•Detail-oriented and organized — manage documentation, timing, and quality of deliverables through each site visit
•Physical fitness — capable of lifting up to ~50 lbs, climbing ladders and working at heights, outdoors in varying weather conditions
•Flexible availability — able to work occasional weekends for emergency troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
•1–3 years of deeper experience in solar or renewable energy field roles
Compensation & Benefits
•Competitive hourly pay in line with DFW rates (~$25–$40+/hr depending on experience)
