Project Coordinator - Solar Installation Solar Guys of Nevada Position Overview Solar Guys of Nevada, the fastest growing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company in the state, is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the successful execution of solar installation projects from inception to completion. This role serves as a critical liaison between project management teams, quality control specialists, sales departments, customer service representatives, and external contractors to ensure seamless project delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction. Core Responsibilities Pre-Installation Management: - Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations Directors, Quality Control teams, Sales professionals, and vendor partners to ensure all pre-installation requirements are fulfilled, including permit acquisition, comprehensive site evaluations, and material procurement - Establish clear project timelines, scope definitions, and responsibility assignments across all team members - Function as the primary accountability coordinator, ensuring all preparatory tasks meet established standards and deadlines prior to installation commencement - Facilitate effective communication between customers, installation crews, engineering teams, sales representatives, and subcontractors Project Oversight and Monitoring: - Monitor critical project milestones including material deliveries, scheduling coordination, and team readiness to maintain project momentum - Coordinate activities among installation teams, subcontractors, internal sales staff, and other project stakeholders - Identify and escalate potential delays, risks, or challenges to Project Managers while collaborating on swift resolution strategies - Maintain consistent communication with Project Managers, Engineering Coordinators, Quality Control Managers, and other key personnel to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks Post-Installation Operations: - Oversee post-installation processes including payroll coordination for project team members - Conduct customer satisfaction assessments to evaluate installation quality and identify improvement opportunities - Ensure completion and proper submission of all post-installation documentation and system records to customers and relevant parties - Supervise post-installation inspections and system commissioning procedures - Resolve post-completion issues and concerns to maintain customer satisfaction and optimal system performance - Provide ongoing support for system monitoring and maintenance requirements - Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management Documentation and Communication: - Maintain comprehensive and current project documentation including progress reports, timeline tracking, and communication records - Generate detailed status reports for Operations Directors and management team highlighting project milestones, potential risks, and corrective actions implemented - Ensure all documentation is properly organized, readily accessible, and compliant with company policies and industry regulations Qualifications and Requirements Essential Experience: - Demonstrated experience in project coordination or administrative roles, preferably within construction, renewable energy, or related sectors - Minimum 3 years of solar installation industry experience required Core Competencies: - Exceptional organizational capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success in cross-functional team collaboration and vendor management - Proficiency with project management software platforms - Comprehensive understanding of solar installation processes, safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements - Meticulous attention to detail with commitment to quality and operational efficiency - Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively - Solid foundation in project management principles and methodologies - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within team environments Employment Details Position Type: Full-time Schedule: Flexible hours with standard business hours as baseline; weekend availability as needed Travel: Occasional site visits may be required Work Environment: Combination of office-based collaboration and field site interaction Growth Opportunities: Advancement potential into project management and leadership roles Compensation and Benefits Base Compensation: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour Additional Compensation: - Overtime pay for hours worked beyond standard schedule - Performance-based bonuses available - Commission opportunities based on project success Benefits Package: - Paid time off (company discretionary policy - not required under Nevada law for companies under 50 employees) - Opportunities for career advancement and professional development - Flexible work schedule to support work-life balance About Solar Guys of Nevada Solar Guys of Nevada has been proudly serving Southern Nevada for 3 years as a locally owned and operated solar installation company.
