Who You Are:

The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for high quality installation of the AC (Alternating Current) portions of our solar photovoltaic system projects.

What You’ll Do:

● Oversee the AC crew work

● Leads daily crew safety meetings

● Responsible for ensuring projects are built as per plans provided in the Design Packet

● Assist on installation of DC portions of the project, when necessary

Typical installations include but are not limited to the following:

● Install & wire PV inverters

● Install & wire PV load centers / Solar load centers

● Install & wire PV AC disconnects

● Install & wire PV meters

● Install PV interconnection - breaker or line side tap

● Replace existing service panel with new service panel

● Bond gas line

● Bond water line

● Install new ground rod or grounding system if required

● Install conduit (s) from PV inverters to roof

● Install Junction box on the roof

● Install home runs wires from Junction box on the roof to the DC input of inverter

What You’ll Need:

● Experience with residential service panels

● Experience with commercial electrical conduit runs

● Ability to interpret electrical plans and specifications

● Must be able to run conduit - EMT, IMC, RMC & LFMC

● Experience working with service conductors and electrical panels

● Experience wearing arc flash suits to open live panelboards

● Experience installing disconnects and panelboards

Education and Experience:

● Solar PV experience required

● Journeyman electrician - electrical license in good standing in Texas

● Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements and Required Tools:

● Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

● Comfortable wearing harness and working on roof

● Comfortable using ladders and working with heights and on flat roofs

● Comfortable working in attics and crawl spaces to run conduit and wires

● Comfortable working outdoors for prolonged periods in varied weather conditions

Required Documentation and Consents:

● Provide current Resume

● Provide 3 references to previous projects or employers

● Copy of valid Electrical License

● Copy of valid Driver’s License

● Consent for background check

● Consent for drug test prior to employment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
