Are you passionate about renewable energy? Solos Energy, a rapidly growing company in the Okanagan, is looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. We specialize in designing, installing, and servicing solar systems and EV charging solutions, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson who will eventually function as a crew lead. As a crew lead, you will oversee all aspects of solar projects, code compliance, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-notch craftsmanship. You'll lead a dedicated team, travel across southern BC as needed, and play a crucial role in our growth story.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial solar PV systems. (Racking systems, inverters, solar panels and batteries)
- Train apprentices as per Solos training plan and supervise accordingly.
- Perform electrical installations and upgrades such as panel upgrades, sub panel additions, and battery installations.
- Complete attic work involving wire runs and electrical terminations.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety on job sites.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
-Regular communication with office staff to ensure smooth delivery of turnkey projects.
- Journeyperson Red Seal ticket from a recognized institution.
- Class 5 driver's license with clean driving abstract.
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights in diverse weather conditions.
- Ability for prolonged bending, twisting, and lifting of heavy materials. (Up to 60 pounds)
-Willingness to travel within BC to complete installations. (Up to 25% of the year)
- Proven ability to manage and mentor apprentices while working effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Previous solar installation experience or solar installation training
