Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Electrician will ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local codes and regulations.
Duties
•
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
•
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
•
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
•
Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.
•
Work with low voltage systems as needed for different projects.
•
Collaborate with other tradespeople on commercial projects to ensure timely completion.
•
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions in a safe manner.
•
Adhere to safety standards and regulations while working on roofs or elevated areas.
Skills
•
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
•
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
•
Experience with low voltage systems is preferred.
•
Familiarity with operating forklifts safely on job sites.
•
Knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installation practices.
•
Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues effectively.
•
Capability to work at heights, including roofs, while adhering to safety protocols.
•
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
