We are searching for a Commissioning Manager in Solar Analytics on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. (W-2) The person will work with one of the world’s largest photovoltaic utility system developers. Your key responsibilities will include conducting performance analytics of PV power plant systems, such as inverters, trackers, substations, and control systems (SCADA). Additional roles involve ISO/GIA/PPA testing and coordinating energy forecasting during the startup of large PV systems. You will act as the Owner’s representative, overseeing PV system compliance, status reporting, startup, commissioning, and testing. The person will also manage and report on commissioning work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.
Location:
This position involves occasional travel within the United States to project locations and to the client’s headquarters in Juno Beach, Florida, with an estimated maximum travel up to 20%. Most of the work is primarily remote. 1 yr. contract assignment (W-2)

Job Responsibilities:
•Prepare projects for PPA, GIA, and ISO testing
•Manage test energy forecasts and AVR/AGC notifications with customers, the control center, and relevant external parties
•Support IT & SCADA Teams with functional checks
•Develop a commissioning schedule based on mechanical completion with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project Manager
•Verify SCADA HMI functionality and accuracy with SCADA Integrator and Commissioning Manager
•Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD
•Review performance data for deficiencies
Required Skill Sets:
•Knowledge of utility-scale photovoltaic construction and commissioning
•Familiarity with utility-scale photovoltaic components (PV modules, combiners, inverters, transformers, met stations, substations)
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office / 365
•Effective communication skills with third parties and executives
•Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities
Required Background:
:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience involving utility solar power systems
Preferred Background:
•Professional or graduate-level academic experience in utility PV systems
•Prior experience with SCADA systems of industrial plants/processes
•1-3 years of experience working with electrical grid participants such as Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators, and Balancing Authorities
