Summary
As a Solar Advisor at Sundog Solar, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our solar energy solutions to potential customers. This position requires a passion for renewable energy and the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of solar technology. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with our mission of "Megawatts of Happy Customers".
The territory is greater Maine, with 90% of the work occurring within 1.5 hours of Searsport. This position also includes attending community outreach events, trade shows periodically throughout the year.
Responsibilities
•Contact new leads and engage with potential customers to educate them about solar energy solutions.
•Conduct site assessments to determine the best solar options for clients.
•Draft solar energy proposals to potential customers through computer based software programs.
•Direct and assist design team in customized designs that fit each applications needs.
•Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in Sundog Solar.
•Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to close sales effectively.
•Utilize Hubspot CRM and other software tools for tracking leads and managing customer interactions.
•Stay informed about industry trends and market developments in renewable energy.
•An ability to draft solar energy proposals to potential customers through computer based software programs
•Collaborate with installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
•Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
•Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing sales.
•Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
•Familiarity with Hubspot or similar CRM software is advantageous.
•Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration.
•One year experience working in the Solar Industry or related college degree
•Technical understanding, knowledge and experience
•Knowledge of solar energy and electrical systems
•An understanding of ROI, payback periods, and financing solar energy
•Strong communication, customer service, time management, and organizational skills
•Excellent ability to listen to customers and understand their needs
•An ability to work as a team and follow safety procedures and guidelines
•Computer skills using CRM software, Google Drive, Solar Design Software, Project Management Software, Quickbooks and spreadsheets
•A college degree is preferred, with training in engineering, design, or electrical systems
•Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize tasks
