We're looking for reliable team members for the snow removal season, and we offer flexible scheduling to suit your availability! If you're available 24/7 and can work whenever it snows, this could be a perfect fit. But even if you have other commitments, we can work around your schedule so you can still be a part of our team. Or, if you'd prefer a backup role, we can put you on our reserve list and reach out when we need extra help. No matter your availability, we'd love to have you apply and work with us this season!
This position may require the employee to perform all, but not limited to, the tasks listed below. The employee will provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customers and management’s expectations. The employee will show attention to detail and effectively communicate with peers and his/her superior. All employees will possess a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will conduct themselves in a professional manor.
- Landscape maintenance duties, mowing, trimming and pruning, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, mulching, leaf removal and snow removal.
- Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to Skid Steers, Mini Track Loaders, tillers, string line trimmer (whipper), chain saws, bed edger, back pack blower, zero turn, stand on, push mowers, and drills.
- Safely operates automatic vehicles, such as dump trucks and truck and trailer combinations.
- Interacting with customer by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions, responding to customer requests, and providing a walk-through at the job’s completion.
- Completing the necessary paperwork, including service tickets, time sheets and receipts.
- Planning and organizing the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available. Also ensures that job is completed in the most time-efficient manner.
- Working with a team of two or more employees. Assisting in the training of employees on policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
- Makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or customer concerns.
Daily Duties: Assist in daily preparation of trucks and equipment.
- Load gas cans, mowers, and other equipment. Secure all equipment.
- Load and secure all plant material and hard materials required for the day.
- Assist crew leader in any preparation required for the day.
- End of the day/week equipment maintenance
- End of the day, fill gas tanks in trucks, equipment, and gas cans.
- Unload equipment, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily.
- Assist in preparation for the next day.
- Wash and prep equipment.
- Maintain a safe and operational vehicle and equipment.
- Check fluid daily in truck/trailer and equipment used. Ex: engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, brake fluid, maintain accurate tire pressure, and hydro fluid.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Collect work orders for day.
- Fill out paperwork of each stop.
- Notify team members of any special notes or request listed on paperwork from customer. Also, communicating customer requests.
Help with snow removal during the winter months. Year around work.
Maintains assigned equipment and notifies mechanic of needed repairs.
Candidate must be able to read and write.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work overtime, holidays, evenings or weekends as necessary.
- Position requires extended work hours and flexibility in scheduling; including evening or weekend hours as needed.
The physical demands outlined are examples of the type of demands the employee will encounter on the job site. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; crouch; stoop or kneel; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee much regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to the homeowner’s pets.
The employee will work closely with members of the team and customers.
