Slitter/Banding Line Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Slitter Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machines that cut large metal coils into narrower strips with precision and efficiency.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. 3-day weekend every week!

Slitter Job Duties May Include:

- Set up and operate slitting machines and recoiling process, ensuring proper alignment, tension, and blade positioning for accurate cuts

- Setup tension stand/overhead according to specifications

- Ability to operate the banding line to process coils

- Inspect raw materials and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to meet quality standards

- Assist with cleanup, skid repair and keeping packaging products stocked and organized

- Be able to perform basic preventative maintenance on the line

- Dispose of slit edge material according to material type

- Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- 2-5 years of recent, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling preferred.

Physical Requirements:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
