Shop Support and Logistics Technician

Ability Engineering Technology, Inc. is seeking a Shop Support and Logistics Technician to assist with material transport, shop operations, and general facility support.

This role involves driving a company pickup truck and trailer for material pickup and delivery, assisting with material handling in the shop, and supporting a variety of fabrication and operational tasks. We are looking for someone dependable who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a manufacturing team.

This position is well suited for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys a mix of driving, shop work, and supporting production operations.

Responsibilities

- Transport materials, parts, and equipment using a company pickup truck and trailer

- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment

- Material handling using forklifts or other lifting equipment (AET will provide certification)

- Assist shop personnel with basic fabrication support tasks

- Receive and organize incoming materials

- Prepare parts and materials for production work

- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization

- Assist with facility and equipment support tasks as needed

Requirements

- Valid driver’s license required

- Ability to safely operate a pickup truck and pull-behind trailer

- Successful completion of a background check required due to company driving responsibilities

- Ability to safely lift and move materials

- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

- Reliable and organized work habits

- Forklift experience is a plus (training available)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
