Shop Fabricator

Shop Welder - This position is a fab shop welder based out of the NexGen Shop.

Position prerequisites:

- Valid Driver's License

- Reliable transportation

- Must pass drug and alcohol screening, DOT physical, and background check

- Blueprint reading/ interpretation

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner

- Follow all health and safety regulations in accordance with Company policy, State and Federal laws

- Ensures regulated and proper PPE are always worn as required

- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.

- Standing for long periods, bending and kneeling daily.

- Dependability to be consistently at work and on time.

- May be needed for occasional working at different locations as needed.

Skills Required:

- Minimum 1 year experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

- Weld, fabricate and repair specialized equipment and tooling

- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.

- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

- Examine work-pieces for defects and measure work-pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.

- Support other shop assignments as required.

- May be required to go to field sites.
