Bridge Brothers is seeking an experienced Fabricator to cut, shape, and assemble structural steel components for custom bridge projects. This role requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, use fabrication tools and machinery, and work closely with welders and quality control to ensure accuracy and safety. The ideal candidate has strong steel fabrication skills, attention to detail, and thrives in a team-oriented shop environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Lay out, measure, and mark steel components according to drawings.
- Use fabrication equipment such as saws, shears, torches, grinders, and presses.
- Fit and assemble structural steel parts prior to welding.
- Ensure parts and assemblies meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with welders, QC inspectors, and other team members to meet project timelines.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all company safety standards and wear proper PPE at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication preferred.- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to check dimensions for accuracy.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 55 lbs. and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Shop fabrication environment with exposure to loud noise, sparks, and moving equipment.
- Frequent standing, bending, stooping, and lifting required.
- Occasional outdoor work when staging or moving materials.
- PPE required and provided.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. EST (some weekends as needed)
- Overtime: Available as required
