As a skilled Ironworker Fabricator you'll be responsible for welding and fabricating structural components for equipment and plant systems, ensuring durability and safety in demanding environments. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of mining operations, as you'll be involved in both maintenance and new construction projects. - Perform various welding methods on various equipment and plant structures to repair or fabricate parts, ensuring all welds meet safety and quality standards.
- Inspect and repair mining equipment, such as conveyors, crushers, and other heavy machinery, to keep them in optimal working condition.
- Repair and fabricate structural components of plant facilities, including supports, frames, and supports for equipment.
- Ensure all welding and fabrication work follows company safety procedures and industry regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and ensure the correct implementation of repairs.
- Identify issues with plant equipment or structures, troubleshoot the problem, and provide effective welding solutions to restore full function.
- Work closely with other maintenance personnel, plant operators, and engineers to assess the need for repairs and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Participate in regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs to prevent breakdowns and improve equipment lifespan.
- Provide welding services for new construction, plant modifications, and expansion projects as needed.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment required for material handling and setting up for welding projects.

- Basic math proficiency
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Basic principles of physics
- English at minimum, Spanish is a plus
- Driver’s license with clean driving record

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to frequently sit, crawl, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift (75 lbs.). Employee must be able to hear equipment running to analyze failures. Sight is mandatory to ensure safety while performing essential tasks on mobile equipment.
Employee must be able to understand issues, problems, and opportunities and make timely and sound decisions. Employee must take responsibility for decisions and understand the impact and implications of decisions and provide feedback as necessary. Employee must be able to communicate with other employees to ensure proper training and relaying repair and maintenance information. Must be able to lead a small team of plant operators for repairs and maintenance and gain a vast working knowledge of all Lannon Stone processing equipment. Employee must be able to demonstrate personal management to prioritize workload, review equipment as needed, and manage time spent on tasks. Employee must develop a working relationship with vendors to ensure timely and cost-efficient purchases. Employee must have training skills to properly train new plant operators on maintenance expectations. Employee must demonstrate attention to detail, managing interruptions, meeting deadlines, and plan through work tasks.
Lannon Stone Products is a dynamic and ever-changing operation, requiring flexibility amongst our team members. Traveling between company sites is an essential part of the job; therefore, each team member needs to be able to reliably travel to be qualified for the position.
