About the role…

Shipper/Receiver/Shop Hand

Daily Responsibilities:

o Receiving and checking orders

o Entering item receipt orders into QuickBooks

o Marking orders for unit/location/truck/job

o Shipping orders to customers

o Unloading trucks and deliveries - forklift skills required

o Shipping parts to locations including packing - some logistics

o Maintaining tool crib

o Organizing and maintaining Crash kit area and cubbies

o Organizing spare parts

o Inspection and cleaning units as they come in from the field – photo and service report documentation, pressure washing

o Parts washing

o Painting

o Hose testing

o Wrapping and boxing orders for shipping - internal

o Maintaining tool crib, including maintaining accountability for tools used, notifying when tools require replacement and maintenance

o Organizing spare parts – input for creating and maintaining systems

o Organizing and maintaining generator parts container – part of stock supervision team

o Organizing and maintaining filter container – part of stock supervision team

o Garbages and recycling

o Snow removal

o Sweeping

o Yard maintenance – including pallets, used oil, reels, mowing, spraying, moving crates, equipment, etc

o Material Transfers as equipment arrives and leaves for work, repair, sale, etc.

o Monthly shop inspections

o Monthly forklift inspections

o Monthly tool inspections

o Pre-delivery inspections and re-stocking of rental equipment

As Required:

o Shop cleaning – putting parts away after projects, repurposing areas where parts have been allowed to accumulate

o Moving equipment and parts around outside for maintenance and organization purposes

o Creating and maintaining shop organization protocols and systems

o Yard maintenance - including shoveling, sweeping, mowing, etc.

Potential Next Level:

o Customer invoicing

o Pricing for service reports

o Design and maintain internal parts distribution areas

o Parts delivery to remote locations (emergency only)

o Quality control on when units have been deemed ready for work

o Input to supervisors with regards to areas of concern, suggestions for improvement, tool and infrastructure investment suggestions

o Fire extinguisher supervision, including creation of tracking system, re-certification as required for seasonal and client needs

o Building extension cords and electrical cables, and maintaining registration

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
