Position Overview
To support all administrative tasks of the shipping and receiving department; inbound and outbound, picking, packing, shipping, inventory accuracy and other activities as assigned.
Responsibilities
•Receive and verify all incoming items with packing slip.
•Print all orders for shipping lead hand.
•Deliver small items to appropriate departments.
•Shop rates for prepaid shipments to ensure company gets the best possible rate.
•Prepare outbound shipping paperwork.
•Point of contact for Sales Group.
•Maintain departmental supplies and create Purchase requisition as required.
•File and record maintenance.
•Others duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment.
•Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
•Strong administrative and organizational skills.
•Ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities.
•Basic knowledge of local and international shipping requirements would be an asset.
•Excellent customer service skills.
•Associate’s Degree in Administration or similar, or a combination of experience and post secondary education would be an asset.
This position is an afternoon shift: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm. But it could involve working day shifts (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) - based on operational needs.
