Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team in Mobile. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks in the shop and job sites to support the production process and ensure smooth operations.

Day to day tasks

- Assist Fleet & Facilities Manager with daily tasks in repair and maintenance of 2 cycle equipment.

- Sharpen Mower Blades

- Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently

- Support and maintaining the shop clean and organized

- Operate vehicles and equipment to move materials

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Skills

- Experience with hand tools and power tools

- Must have 2 Cycle Mechanical Knowledge

- Familiarity with working in landscaping

- Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus

You must

- Work well independently and with a team

- Enjoy working outside

- Be organized

- Have a valid Drivers License (Required)

- Have a good driving record to be on company insurance

- Pass DOT Physical

- Lift 50 pounds and handle physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing

- Pass Pre-Employment Drug Test

Education and Experience:

- At least one year of landscaping experience is preferred, but not required

- Must be 21 years old or older

- Communicating effectively, speaking multiple languages is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
