Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, as well as experience with warehouse management systems. The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, packaging products for shipment, and ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

Priority 1 – Order Fulfillment and Shipping: 50% of time

Ensure the timely shipment of sales orders.

- Process and organize sales orders to meet specified shipping requirements

- Inspect all items to ensure the product to be shipped matches the product ordered

- Package items appropriately for the method of shipping with the goal of reducing shipping cost and risk of damage

- Arrange for local and international shipment

Priority 2 – Order Processing and Receiving: 40% of time

Receive, inspect, unload and distribute items delivered to Hawkeye.

- Enter items into inventory and maintain shipping records

- Inspect all received items for accuracy and shipping damage

- Distribute items within the warehouse or the requestor as required

- Organize and maintain receiving records

Any other duties as duly assigned: 10% of time

- Assist in warehousing inventory

- Provide shipping quotes to other departments

- Other warehouse jobs as designated and assisting others as needed

Requirements

Education:

- High school education

Experience:

- Minimum of 1 – 4 years of experience in shipping and receiving

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in safety, forklift, rigging, and lifting loads is an asset

- International shipping knowledge is an asset

Skills & Abilities:

- Knowledge of shipping and receiving

- Proficient computer knowledge is required

- Flexible with changing directions daily

- Ability to use a forklift, rigging and lifting loads safely

- Required to work in the warehouse and in the yard in cold and hot weather

- Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
