ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Value and promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company values, policies, and compliance requirements
•Supervise production personnel, equipment utilization, to attain optimal productivity levels.
•Communicate effectively to lead, train, and motivate teams
•Provide key leadership for shift operations – take appropriate action when required
•Monitor product quality and take appropriate actions when not meeting specifications
•Lead change and implement continuous improvement
•Understand and lead under the labor agreement
•Track and report attendance and performance
•Maintain and enforce good housekeeping
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•High school diploma required, some secondary education preferred
•Minimum 2 years industrial supervisory experience preferred
•Basic understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance
•Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
•Ability to resolve complex situations related to operations as well as personnel
•Troubleshooting skills and Mechanical aptitude a plus
•Able to work rotating shift / 12 hours shifts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Able to walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs, stoop and crawl under and into enclosed spaces
•Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend
•Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground)
•Physical ability to climb on equipment to provide supervision as needed
•Must be able to clearly see and hear safety indicators and warnings
•Must work in all weather conditions, heat, cold, wet, dry, and near hot kiln process
•Tolerate exposure to all levels of noise that will require the use of hearing protection
•Tolerate potential exposure to limestone and dusty conditions
