Service Technician – Chemical Injection Pumps (Appalachian Basin) Location: Wheeling, WV (servicing the Marcellus/Utica region) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Oil & Gas | Chemical Injection Equipment | Field Service About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on Service Technician to support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of chemical-injection pumps and automation systems across the Appalachian Basin. You’ll work directly with producers and chemical companies to ensure reliable operation of equipment such as our Speedgoat and Roadrunner pump controllers, radar tank-level sensors, and remote cellular monitoring systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and taking ownership of equipment performance in the demanding Marcellus and Utica Shale environments. Key Responsibilities Install, start-up, and calibrate chemical-injection pumps and controllers at customer well sites and facilities. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on chemical-injection systems. Perform preventive maintenance, rebuilds, and field retrofits. Configure and test RS-485 / Modbus, radar level sensors, and cellular telemetry devices. Document service calls, parts used, and site conditions using digital forms or apps. Provide field training to operators and chemical company personnel. Maintain a clean service truck, proper tools, and accurate inventory of spare parts. Follow all safety and environmental requirements for field work. Communicate with engineering and sales teams to provide field feedback and continuous improvement input. Qualifications 2+ years of oilfield service, chemical-injection, instrumentation, or related experience (preferred). Basic understanding of 12/24 VDC electrical systems, relays, sensors, and multimeters. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required (CDL not required). Ability to work outdoors year-round in Appalachian Basin conditions (mud, snow, heat, and variable terrain). Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
