We are looking for a detail-driven and analytical Service Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in tracking and analyzing service-related costs, building budgets, and providing financial insights that help improve efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, creating reports, and finding ways to optimize performance.
- Prepare monthly reports on equipment downtime, repair costs, and utilization.
- Track Service department costs, including technician labor, consumables, and travel.
- Build dashboards to monitor logistics costs such as cost per load, route, and mile.
- Assist with budget creation and perform variance analysis (estimated vs. actual costs).
- Analyze customer and contract profitability based on daily usage.
- Create ad hoc reports and financial models to support decision-making.
- Recommend cost-saving measures and margin improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis (service or logistics industry experience a plus).
- Strong skills in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost tracking.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools.
