We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant
to support our
operations teamby providing timely, accurate, and actionable cost analysis. This role will focus on tracking, analyzing, and reporting on manufacturing costs, production variances, and operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cost accounting in a manufacturing or production environment and can collaborate cross-functionally with plant operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
• Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead. • Prepare and maintain standard costs for all products and processes; update as needed
• Investigate and explain cost variances, including material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.
• Partner with operations to support inventory management, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
• Review and analyze production orders, scrap, and yields to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare monthly cost and margin analysis reports to support operational decisions. • Participate in the development of KPIs and operational dashboards to monitor cost
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process for manufacturing costs and operational spending.
• Ensure proper cost allocation and accounting controls are followed in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to assess cost trends and supplier pricing impacts.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of
standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- Experience with
ERP systems
(SAP, Oracle, or similar) required, nice to have HANA experience
- Advanced Excel skills: ability to work with large datasets and create operational reports.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.
