We are seeking a results-driven and analytical professional to support and optimize our cost accounting functions and operational workflows in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of cost accounting principles, ERP systems, and production process flows, combined with a passion for problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. This role will focus on ensuring data accuracy, supporting inventory valuation, driving transactional excellence, and supporting key stakeholders with financial insights. This is a full-time, Columbia, SC-based position, with opportunities for ongoing development and impact within a fast-growing industrial organization.
· Cost Management: Maintain accurate cost accounting records, including Bill of Materials (BOM), routing, and variance analysis (purchase price, manufacturing, etc.).
· Transactional Oversight: Lead and ensure accuracy in Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) and Production Order lifecycle processes.
· Inventory Valuation: Support valuation processes using methods such as FIFO, LIFO, Weighted Average, and Standard Cost.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, procurement, and finance teams to identify and implement process improvements.
· Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports that drive data-informed decisions.
· System Integrity: Uphold high data integrity standards across all transactional systems, ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
· 3–5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Deep understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, and production processes.
· Proficiency with Bill of Materials (BOM), routing, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
· Strong Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.
· Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, ClickUp, or other visualization/project management platforms is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to manage data accuracy, solve problems, and contribute in cross-functional settings.
