- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
- 2 or more years of related cost accounting experience
- Experience working in manufacturing or construction-based accounting is preferred
- Experience working with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
- Must have strong experience and knowledge of MS Excel, as well as MS Word and PowerPoint
- Operational experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion software is strongly preferred
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator able to take initiative and function independently
- Possess a track record of providing superior financial leadership and analytical business decision support through planning, focusing, and insightful reporting, and a proven ability to work proactively, negotiate, influence, think out-of-the-box and drive process improvement

- Support financial operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing cost variances, and tracking capital expenditures. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and provides insight to guide project decisions and improve cost control.
- Assist with monthly close activities, including preparation of journal entries and expense accruals
- Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple locations and reconcile inventory sub-ledgers with general ledger accounts
- Monitor standard costs and perform variance analysis (e.g., purchase price variance, usage, overhead)
- Partner with operations to ensure accuracy of bills of materials (BOMs) and routing data
- Support month-end and year-end inventory close procedures, including physical and cycle counts
- Maintain fixed asset records and ensure proper capitalization in accordance with accounting policies
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting for capital expenditure (CapEx) projects
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies related to capital assets
- Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and facilitate timely transition of assets into service
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support project milestones and investment decisions
- Develop and maintain cost tracking tools and dashboards to enhance project visibility and control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Equipment, and Project Management to validate CapEx spending and asset classification
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory and cost accounting workflows
