Senior Software Engineer

Wyandotte Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with DevOps and automation expertise to support mission-critical systems at Southwestern Power Administration (SWPA).

This role focuses on application development, automation, CI/CD implementation, and modernization of legacy systems within secure, highly restricted environments — including real-time SCADA operations

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and support custom enterprise applications

- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

- Modernize legacy systems into scalable, secure architectures

- Automate operational workflows and improve system reliability

- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis

- Support secure deployments in restricted environments

- Participating in Agile/Sprint development cycles

- Assist with 24/7 on-call rotation supporting SCADA systems

- Client relationship building and team communication

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) + 3 years’ experience

OR

- 7+ years of software development and implementation experience

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Technical Skills

- C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, C++

- CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

- Git or other modern version control systems

- Relational databases and web development

- Splunk, ServiceNow

- SCADA or real-time operational systems (preferred)

Requirements

- U.S. Citizenship required

- Must pass a 7-year background investigation

- Participation in on-call rotation

- Occasional evening/weekend work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $93,600.00 per year
