Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager II to lead high-risk, high-investment multidiscipline nuclear energy projects at a top-tier nuclear facility in Richland, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing capital projects typically exceeding $10 million and leading cross-functional teams of 10+ professionals.
This role requires PMP certification, strong leadership, and deep experience in nuclear construction, outage support, and regulatory compliance. The project scope includes both mechanical implementation and refueling/forced outage activities, with long-term planning responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage all phases of large-scale capital projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, procurement, and execution.
•Provide oversight for project execution during refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
•Lead project teams across multiple disciplines and ensure smooth coordination among internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders.
•Interface with finance and project controls to track and report budgets and timelines.
•Develop long-range strategic plans, vendor contracts, and project schedules.
•Mentor junior project managers and support talent development.
•Deliver presentations and status updates to internal and senior stakeholders.
•Contribute to the Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
Required Qualifications:
•High School Diploma/GED and 24+ years of experience in a technical field OR Associate’s Degree and 22+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field and 20+ years of experience
•PMP Certification (required)
•RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification (required)
•Advanced degree in a related technical or business field
•Construction Management Certification
•Significant experience as a supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry, preferably in operations, engineering, or maintenance
•Nuclear plant production coordination experience

•Expert-level project leadership and stakeholder management
•Cost-effective work execution and outage coordination
•Advanced risk management and root cause analysis
•Proficiency in MS Office, Passport, and project management software
•Capable of passing an Expert Panel Interview (Oral Board)
