Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant to lead construction readiness initiatives and risk management for commercial energy center construction projects. This role prefers expertise in title, easement, right of way, permitting, land control, or construction processes. The successful candidate will perform comprehensive risk analysis, communicate critical risks to stakeholders, and work collaboratively with teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies. This position involves analyzing nationwide data and trends to educate internal teams on emerging risks and best practices across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Lead construction readiness assessments focusing on permit compliance, land control verification, and crossing easement agreements
Conduct comprehensive risk analysis across title, easement, right of way, permitting, and land control processes
Identify, assess, and communicate project risks to development, legal, and construction teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
Analyze nationwide trends and data patterns across projects to identify emerging risks and opportunities
Educate internal team members on critical compliance requirements and associated risk implications
Lead land auditing processes to verify agreement viability against proposed infrastructure
Mentor junior team members on best practices in risk identification and mitigation
Develop and maintain sophisticated tracking systems
Facilitate strategic discussions on project prioritization based on risk assessment and business impact
Ensure seamless handoff of critical risk information to construction teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Industry Expertise:
3-5+ years experience in title work, easement acquisition, right of way, permitting, land management, or construction
Deep understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory processes
Proven track record in risk assessment and mitigation within energy or construction projects
Experience with commercial energy development or similar infrastructure projects
Risk Management & Analysis:
Strong analytical skills for identifying and quantifying project risks
Ability to perform complex risk assessments across multiple project variables
Experience developing risk mitigation strategies and implementation plans
Skilled in communicating risk implications to diverse stakeholder groups
Proven ability to translate technical risks into business impact language
Technical Proficiency:
Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills including advanced modeling and analysis
Extensive experience with project management software (P6, Unifier)
GIS software proficiency for spatial risk analysis
Database management and advanced data analysis capabilities
Ability to quickly master new technology platforms and databases
Leadership & Communication:
Exceptional presentation skills for educating internal teams and stakeholders
Proven mentoring and training abilities
Strong facilitation skills for cross-functional risk assessment meetings
Ability to influence decision-making through compelling risk communication

Experience with renewable energy or utility-scale construction projects
Background in legal or regulatory compliance roles
