We are looking for a
Senior Occupational Safety Expert and EHS Manager In Projectin Orlando, FL to utilize knowledge of Siemens Energy's internal Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures, standards and rules, as well as Zero Harm Program to support the business throughout various phases of projects to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external rules and regulations to prevent EHS related hazards and risks.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Support project and site management in planning, implementing and monitoring EHS procedures and rules.
- Report on relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure continuous improvement.
- Establish EHS management systems for projects that meet internal, customer, regulatory, and business needs.
- Identify EHS-related statutory and customer requirements, rules and regulations and EHS aspects.
- Perform risk assessments and define mitigation measures.
- Support the Project Manager (PM) to ensure that required EHS-related permits, authorizations, and certificates are available.
- Provide guidance and support to the EHS team on site. Implement training concepts that fulfill EHS related training requirements.
- Ensure risk assessments are carried out to the highest standards and review EHS documentation provided by contractors.
- Liaise with customer/contractor EHS representatives on project execution and onsite EHS issues.
- Provide regular EHS reports to the project/site manager to ensure full operational transparency.
- Ensure all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented, and monitored.
- 30% domestic and international travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field and 8 years of experience.
- Will also accept Master and 5 years of experience.
- Experience must include 5 years in: incident investigation and root cause analysis methodology;
- Implementing EHS procedures, standards, and Zero Harm Program;
- EHS procedures, rules, and methodologies;
- Knowledge of power generation and energy transmission equipment;
- Define mitigation measures to prevent EHS-related hazards;
- Managing and executing complex, large-scale energy projects; and
- EHS audits in line with ISO45001 & ISO14001.
- 30% domestic and international travel required.
