Essential Job Functions
Strategic Planning and Execution
•Develop, implement and continuously refine a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports business objectives, fosters employee engagement and strengthens company culture.
•Partner closely with the executive leadership team on key messages, communicating out organizational changes, and messaging on critical initiatives, including content development and editing.
•Provide communications event support for leadership summits, town halls, and other large scale company events through executive partnership and content strategy.
•Create and manage a robust internal communications calendar, ensuring timely and impactful dissemination of information to both the field and corporate office.
•Leads and manages a team of communications professionals—sets strategies, goals, develop team members; tracks and supports individual performance; creates a team culture that aligns with and celebrates Blattner’s Basics, Values, Mission, and Desired End States.
Content and Channel Management
•Lead the creation, editing, and production of diverse internal communications content, including company-wide newsletter, field communications, intranet articles, emails, texts, digital signage, video scripts and presentations.
•Oversee the management, optimization and continuous improvement of all internal communication channels.
•Provide robust communications support to enterprise-wide efforts to ensure effective change management.
•Collaborate and partner with all areas of the business to ensure consistent and aligned messaging.
•Explore and recommend innovative communication technologies and approaches to effectively reach and engage a remote and mobile workforce.
•Manage and oversee relationships with external vendors as needed to support internal communication initiatives.
•Lead internal communications efforts during sensitive or critical incidents, ensuring clear, consistent, and empathetic messaging to employees.
Employee Engagement & Culture Building
•Design and implement initiatives that promote two-way communication, employee feedback and leadership transparency.
•Develop communication programs that reinforce company values, promote a strong safety culture, celebrate employee achievements and recognize outstanding contributions.
•Lead internal communication efforts for change management initiatives, ensuring employees understand the rationale, impact and support available during transitions.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
•Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal communication effectiveness, including engagement rates, message recall and employee sentiment.
•Regularly gather employee feedback and leverage insights to refine communication strategies and enhance overall impact.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills with emphasis on corporate and employee communications and B2B business development initiatives.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences ranging from craft construction laborers to corporate leaders. Including the ability to communicate complex concepts simply and visually.
•Ability to develop and execute successful internal communication strategies for dispersed workforces, including those in remote environments with varying levels of connectivity.
•Experience managing and developing a team of communications professionals.
•Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
•Experience in change management communications and crisis communications.
•Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong understanding of digital communication platforms and emerging technologies for internal engagement.
•Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and other company locations as needed.
$144,345.00 - $209,300.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
