The Senior IT Support Specialist provides high-level technical support and infrastructure management across the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining critical systems, supporting end-users, and assisting the IT Director with strategic technology initiatives. The ideal candidate combines hands-on IT experience with strong troubleshooting, project coordination, and systems administration skills.
· Provide advanced and basic support for escalated help desk tickets involving hardware, software, network, and application issues.
· Support troubleshooting efforts across operating systems, cloud platforms, and on-premises systems.
· Serve as a subject matter expert for desktop environments, mobile device management, and core applications (e.g., Office 365, VPN, cloud-based platforms).
· Assist with administration of servers, firewalls, switches, and network devices in coordination with IT Director.
· Manage user accounts, group policies, permissions, and system access.
· Support system backups, patching schedules, and system monitoring tools.
· Participate in cybersecurity protocols, software updates, vulnerability scans, and incident response efforts.
· Assist with IT-related projects including system upgrades, deployments, and integrations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional departments to identify and support implementation of technology solutions.
· Document IT policies, procedures, knowledge base articles, and system configurations.
· Maintain inventory of IT hardware, software licenses, and support contracts.
· Support vendor relationships, warranty claims, and procurement of IT equipment and services.
· Support the IT Director in planning and implementing technology strategies aligned with business goals.
· Continue to develop and monitor industry trends to improve performance, security, and scalability.
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent years of work experience required
· Experience with Viewpoint/Vista, SQL server and Database Administration a plus
· Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
· Experience with Microsoft Servers and Active Directory
· Experience with Microsoft Entra and Office 365
· Experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery Software
· Excellent understanding of recommended best practices for Cyber Security
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
