The Senior Data Developer will support Precision’s Alpha™ Technologies product line by designing, developing, supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our operational technologies and data solutions by leveraging modern data techniques over large data sets. You will get to work with high-frequency datasets, ranging from real-time to transactional data. This role is critical in ensuring data availability, reliability, and scalability across the organization.

Day In The Life
- Design and develop high-quality, testable ETL scripts (batch and real-time) to process drill rig sensor data and generate performance KPIs
- Build and optimize database models and data pipelines for scalable, event-driven ingestion, transformation, and analysis
- Implement data quality checks, automated testing, and participate in code reviews to ensure robust architecture and maintainability
- Assist in constructing operational data stores, data marts, and maintain technical documentation or workflows
- Collaborate with business units and data teams to troubleshoot issues, perform analysis, and shape long-term data platform strategy
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in data engineering with strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with testing tools (PyUnit, UnitTesting)- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AKS), data warehousing (Snowflake), and building high-performance pipelines using CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of ETL performance tuning, big data initiatives, and familiarity with Confluent Kafka; Oil & Gas experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills; ability to collaborate across diverse teams and foster a positive, supportive environment
