a
full-time, permanent
Senior Advisor, Sponsorships & Marketing
position working out of
Edmonton, AB.
EPCOR Utilities Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Advisor, Sponsorships & Marketing to join our Communications and Public Engagement team. This role is pivotal in executing and leveraging EPCOR’s sponsorships and marketing programs to enhance our profile, reputation, and image with key audiences. The successful candidate will build strategic partnerships, manage promotional merchandise programs, and support our brand strategy through effective media partnerships.
This position may be eligible for EPCOR's hybrid work program.
What you’d be responsible for
•Develop and implement strategic sponsorship plans
and subsequent products
that align with and enhance EPCOR’s brand and community profile
•Manage and execute annual promotional merchandise plans, including merchandise refresh and pop-up shops
; provide recommendations on company-wide programs
the Oilers
Theatre Box to ensure the best utilization aligned with corporate and government relations objectives while maintaining strong relationship with partners
•Lead the planning and execution of the

mbassador

rogram with the annual employee
United Way
Campaign
, working with site representatives from across the company
•Support EPCOR’s brand strategy by building and executing promotional media partnerships
•Collaborate with senior leaders to place and support them on community not-for-profit boards in order to
maximize their hosting
and/or
networking opportunities
•Lead the tactical execution of elements of sponsorship, hosting and media partnership plans and complex multi-faceted projects in a collaborative manner
•Directly engage and build relationships with partners, vendors and community stakeholders to advance EPCOR positions and resolve concerns
•Make recommendations and take part in process improvements that enhance workflows, create efficiencies and enhance EPCOR’s brand
What’s required to be successful
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Community Investment, Communications, or a related
field is required
5
years’ experience in community investment or marketing is required
•Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
(including Teams and SharePoint) and
Asana
•Demonstrated experience in delivering effective, measurable sponsorships and marketing programs across a range of channels and business sectors
•Proven project management and strategic planning skills
•Strong collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
•Solid understanding of how marketing
strategies
and sponsorships build brand
•Understanding of the utility industry, Alberta power markets, and regulated businesses are assets
•Demonstrated experience in translating annual objectives into action plans
•Experience managing/enhancing work processes and solving problems
•Negotiation skills, building partnerships and vendor management experience
•Experience in grant application software (
eg.
Optimy
) and assessment of applications
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
, including conflict resolution
writing and editing skills
