We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in preparing and maintaining financial records, as well as overseeing critical financial activities. This hybrid position will be based at our Corporate Offices in Winter Park, FL.

Founded in 1968, we have over 56 years of experience and have no intention of slowing down!
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in alignment with company policies, while maintaining the general ledger to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Perform general cost accounting and other related financial duties to support the organization’s financial operations.
Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
Review accounts payable to ensure accurate allocation of payments to the correct accounts.
Collaborate with external auditors by providing essential account information and documentation to facilitate the annual audit process.
File tax forms with federal, state, and local agencies, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
Collaborate with software vendors to ensure the smooth operation of accounting software systems, proactively recommending updates and improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.
Stay current on industry standards and ensure strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and best practices.
Handle other related tasks as needed to support the overall accounting function and organizational goals.
Minimum of 5+ years of accounting and financial experience, with strong expertise in general financial and cost accounting principles, and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive, can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as a highly organized team player.
Proven ability to mentor and train staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Willingness to work in the Winter Park, FL office 2-3 days a week.
