Job Title: Plant Sr. Accountant/Financial Analyst
Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning and directing of the accounting activities of our Telford, TN and Farmington, CT factories. This role can be based in our Tennessee or Connecticut locations with the ability to travel (Tennessee preferred).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions of the job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
•Provide interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.
•Participate with outside professional firms on accounting, legal and tax matters.
•Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly across operations
•Provides Management with cost and comparative reports to indicate needs for change in pricing or production.
•Review the fixed asset reports to ensure accuracy. This includes a review of all assets to ensure the items have not been disposed of without being removed from the fixed asset system.
•Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial planning, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
•Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing results and forecasts.
•Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
•Develop manufacturing financial reporting and KPI metrics to support factory leadership
•Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts
•Work on special projects as required.
•Maintain the quality of the Accounting Department to service the ebm-papst organization.
•Use the following software programs while performing this job: MAC-PAC, Sequel, PC-FAS Accounting, Microsoft Excel and Word.
•Support implementation of SAP
•Perform all other duties as assigned
•Help lead team engagement across accounting
Recommended Education and/or Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum Five to Seven years related work experience.
