Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing accounting related duties on a professional level and works with the accounting group and other business units to support all requirements. This position has responsibilities in the following areas: Month End Close, Financial Statements, Quarterly Reporting, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, Accruals and Allocations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
•Prepares Financial Statements and Management Reports
•Reviews Intercompany balances.
•Prepares accruals and allocations of certain GL Accounts for month end closing.
•Prepare the necessary journal entries prepayments, accruals for revenue and expenses and other adjustments.
•Manage Fixed Assets using Creative Solutions and QuickBooks. This includes processing additions and disposals, reconciling fixed assets list and coordinating with Fleet department.
•Maintains Lease amortization schedules and creates payments schedules for new loans and leases.
•Provides information and support during Annual Budget process.
•Assists in pulling information for Audit, Insurance renewal and Tax requirements.
•Prepare various analysis reports at month end.
•Prepares workpapers and supporting documentation of reconciled accounts.
•Work with Human Resources, Payroll, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to track down discrepancies with any account being reconciled.
•Review transactions posted by staff during the month for accurate coding.
•Reviews P&L by jobs and crews
•Other Ad Hoc reports and analysis as assigned.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field.
•Prior accounting experience is required.
•Prefer 3+ years of accounting experience.
•Understanding of Basic Accounting Principles
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions
•Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
•Consists of sedentary work. The ability to lift 10 pounds.
•Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
•Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures or viewing a computer screen.
