POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant provides support in the preparation of the monthly financial statements. The primary
responsibilities include but are not limited to monthly closing procedures and preparation of accurate and
timely reconciliations for multiple accounts as well as the analysis of financial information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
•Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to assist with the monthly close process
•Analyzing trends of revenues, costs, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
•Managing intracompany transactions and resolving discrepancies between businesses including monitoring acquired entity AR (what we owe back to them) and submit for remittance
•Completion of all monthly bank reconciliations
•Responsible for the full cycle of fixed asset management
•Preparing and recording any required accounts payable accruals
•Ensuring the general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers are reconciled
•Organizing and updating financial records
•Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts monthly to meet processing and reporting deadlines
•Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits ensuring compliance with GAAP
•Assisting the Accounting Manager and Controller as needed
•Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities
•Developing and maintaining large sets of financial data with use of Excel and other tools to reconcile accounts
•Financial audit preparation and direct interaction with auditors related to specific functions
•Assisting with special projects and work with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department with
monthly reporting and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
•Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting or Finance,
•3-5 years of experience within a corporate enterprise a plus
•3-5 years of experience in accounting preferred, with high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
•Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles (GAAP)
•Familiarity with the processes, concepts, methods, and tools for maintaining accurate and thorough
records of financial transactions
•Knowledge of economic principles, auditing practices and principles, applicable laws, codes, and
regulations
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use job specific computer programs
•Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, lookups and handling large amounts of data
•Organized with an intense focus on accuracy and attention to detail
•Experience with Salesforce or Great Plains software preferred
Pay Range: 105k-115k (BOE)

The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the
following:
•Hours of operation are typically 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., M-F
•Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
•Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
•The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
