Join us and become a part of our success story! We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for timely budget forecasting, accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role that encompasses accounting operations, budgeting, financial analysis, tax filings, and audit coordination—playing a critical role in driving financial efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making.
Below includes some of the key responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
•Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
•Provide actionable financial insights to support operational efficiency and profitability.
•Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting
•Collaborate with department heads to align financial plans with business objectives
•Expense management and approvals via Expensify
•Track budget performance and report on variances
•Support monitoring manufacturing entity's costs, variances, and inventory accounting
•Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
•Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements
•Support external audits and grant reporting process
•Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns (income, sales, property, etc.)
•Coordinate with external tax advisors and ensure timely filings
•Stay updated on tax law changes affecting manufacturing operations
•Identify and implement process efficiencies in accounting and financial reporting
•Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
•A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate or cost accounting roles. Candidates with a CPA are highly preferred
•Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
•Experience with grant reporting and tracking is strongly preferred
•Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft 365
•Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Analytical mindset with attention to detail
•Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
