Wood is recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join its Projects business unit, focusing on Process & Chemicals (PC) in the Americas (PC) business grouping. This hybrid opportunity is based in Roswell, Georgia, and is accountable for operational leadership, business growth, and P&L management across multiple projects in the Oil & Gas sector.

This Role Provides guidance and direction to a team in the operational and commercial delivery of one or more
customer contract(s). This will typically be a long-term (multiple year) contract(s) delivering services to
one or more customer asset(s) or facilities which may include production operations, maintenance,
upgrades and brownfield modifications to hardware and plant.
Provide operational, strategic management and delivery to support and drive the business plan at
contract level. Ensure Wood is working to the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational
excellence, delivering business plans and in support of business growth. Maximize the long-term
customer relationships and commercial return by positioning Wood for contract extensions and renewals.
Produce solutions to strategic, contractual, technical, commercial, operational and personnel related
challenges which impact on customer service and performance. Maintain operational integrity and
excellence, tracking and reporting on performance metrics and steering improvements.
Provide leadership and coaching to the contract team, developing capability, facilitating engagement,
and supporting progression.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Accountable for delivery of contract performance directly focusing on assigned customer/
contract(s)
+ Typical budgeted revenue of $10+ mil per year and / or Trade and Craft personnel
of 50 or more
+ Account Manager II responsible for key clients and / or more complex projects (i.e.,
clients with strategic requirements or higher revenue and / or headcount
•Develops and delivers a robust business plan, whilst driving and supporting corporate
initiatives, ensuring company values are at the core of all activities.
•Accountable for maintaining positive customer relationship, fostering, and enhancing
relationship management with open, honest, and effective communications.
•Negotiates changes to contract scope or terms with the customer. Follows Change
Management process to identify and approve scope, cost and schedule and manages risks.
•Maintain operational integrity and excellence, ensuring robust governance, subcontractor
management, and performance reporting.
•Work with leadership and peers to improve delivery performance and maximise delivery
opportunities throughout wider business where required.
•Develop and implement a focused strategy at Contract level, support bid and tender activity
as required and assume responsibility for positioning and new growth opportunities.
•Understand customer needs beyond the immediate scope and introducing other Wood
•Service Lines to the Customer to grow the overall scope for Wood and add value to the
Customer/Asset.
•Ownership of HSSEA matters across Contract: ensure HSSEA values are always delivered and
adhered to, continuously influencing and personally role modelling safety behavioural values.
Focus the team to attain all HSE plans, ensuring all contracts have HSSEA plans in place,
supporting continuous improvement and ensuring legislative compliance.
•Is a champion and role model for ethical behavior and compliance with applicable laws
and policies.
•Responsible for the development and growth of their direct reports including supporting
and allowing development opportunities outside of their contract
•Accountability for recruitment, selection, and development of talent, ensuring effective
performanceand capability management, acting as a coach/mentor, and encouraging and
supporting open and effective communication to optimize delivery of objectives, maximize team
performance and achieve continuous performance improvement.
•Participate in peer reviews as required
Operational Delivery
•P & L responsibility with associated commercial and financial accountability including revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, accounts payable/billing and cash collection
•Ownership of HSSEA matters across assigned area: ensure HSSEA values are delivered and adhered to at all times, proactively leading and demonstrating safety behavioral values. Lead and focus the team to attain all HSE plans, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring legislative compliance.
•Provides tactical direction to operational delivery team(s) in order to meet business plan goal
•Ensures robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place
•Carries out significant operational administrative functions, staffing activities and managing day-to-day employee relations and operational Issues
•With direction and within set parameters, establishes annual business goals and strategies and prepares business plan for assigned location
•Serves as consultant or project manager as appropriate.
•Ensures financial, safety, and quality controls and compliance to company policies.
•Maintain operational integrity and excellence, ensuring robust governance, subcontractor management, and performance reporting. Work with leadership and peers to improve delivery performance and maximize delivery opportunities throughout wider business where required.
•Establish and implement policies, and ensure appropriate governance mechanisms for continuous monitoring of their proper implementation
•Ensure our people and the worksites at which they operate are safe and well managed.
•Support resolution of any legal claims in collaboration with legal and other relevant functions.
•Pursue and develop opportunities for innovation, such as digitalization and technology use, work share and high value engineering centers, to bring value to Wood and customer
•Participate in technical audits and peer reviews as required
Business Growth
•Deliver growth in the areas of responsibility through close collaboration with Business Development. Develop and own business plan, and drive sales, bid and tender activity.
•Assist with developing and delivering a robust business plan, whilst driving and supporting corporate initiatives, ensuring company values are at the core of all activities.
•Expands the company’s business in the area served, directs local business development programs, proactively identifies new opportunities and supports / leads bid and tender activity as appropriate
Oversees proposals and call-offs (may be individual projects) within delegation of authority, ensuring compliance with contracting policy and standards of ethical conduct.
Leadership

Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
•Typically, minimum of 5 years of Operations or contract management experience,
•For Account Manager II, 10+ years for Account Manager IIs managing more complex clients
•Track record of successful delivery within relevant industry sector
•Broad understanding of the industry and networking capability
•Experience of customer / contractor facing communication / negotiation
•Relevant technical expertise as applicable to the scope
•Ability to balance commerciality with operational excellence
•Knowledge of current HSSEA and other legislation as applied to the industry
•Evidence of continuing professional development and knowledge
