Account Manager - Champagne Metals Location: 51360 Greenfield Parkway 710, Middlebury, IN, 46540

We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. This position plays a crucial role in our relationship with customers by ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality service across all aspects of the order lifecycle.
Ownership of Accounts
o Oversee every aspect of a customer account, from initial order to final delivery, working cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality. This does not mean they are responsible for completing each step, but making sure that the steps are getting done.
Sales Order Entry and Planning
o Orders are to be entered the day they are received. Orders are to be entered into Stratix accurately and promptly.
o Review and verify order information, including product details, quantities, pricing, shipping address, and payment information. Ensure all necessary information is complete and accurate.
o Maintain a high level of accuracy when entering order details into the system to minimize errors and prevent shipment delays. Double-check order information for completeness, correctness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
o Production orders should be planned completely, accurately, and promptly. Special notes for customer specific processing, packaging, shipping, etc. need to be entered and double checked for accuracy.
Order Tracking
o Back-order review, order status review, open order review, etc.
o Investigate sales order losses and determine root cause.
o It is the responsibility of the Account Manager to see the order through until the end. While there are other departments that complete the tasks, at the end of the day it is the responsibility of the Account Manager to make sure their orders are delivered to the customer correctly and on time.
Inventory Management and Volume Forecasting
o Review aging inventory with Territory Managers and Supply Chain Analysts to find solutions.
o Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure order fulfillment. Monitor stock levels and back orders to provide accurate information on order fulfillment and delivery dates.
o Review customer sales history to determine accurate stocking levels. Look for increases/decreases in usage and share information with supply chain and production.
Quality Claims
o Works with the Territory Manager to gather all necessary information for a customer claim.
o Enters the NCR into Stratix and tracks the NCR until dispositioned by the quality department. Will work with Territory Manager to communicate that disposition to the customer.
Relationship Building
o Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service, understanding their requirements, addressing concerns, and acting as a point of contact for ongoing support.
o Interact with customers to clarify order details, resolve any issues or discrepancies, and provide updates on order status. Respond to customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
o Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Strive to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with customers.
Tracking of Contract Fulfillment and Pricing Data
o Responsible for making sure pricing is updated, accurate, and adheres to signed contract.
o Ensure that the terms and conditions of the signed contract are realized throughout the contract term. i.e., aging inventory, hedged material, volume commitments, etc.
