Security Officer/Loss Prevention

We specialize in several different facets of commercial and private security, offering both armed and unarmed contract services. We have immediate openings for Full-time and Part-time Security Officers in College Park, Maryland.

Position Responsibilities

Our Officers are responsible for providing quality physical security at the client site. Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Following prescribed Standard Operating Procedures for basic and emergency responses

- Creating detailed reports on building activities

- Patrolling the interior and exterior of the contract site

- Responding to major occurrences with intelligence, speed, and accuracy.

- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclined and on uneven terrain.

- Conducts surveillance through the CCTV system utilizing the necessary equipment to observe, report and record procedural vioaltions and unusual activity.

Position Minimum requirement

- High school or equivalent.

- At least 2-year unarmed/loss prevention security experience.

- Must be able to speak and communicate effectively and in a professional manner.

- Maintain neat and professional appearance.

- Must have an active MD Guard Certification or be able to acquire one within the probationary period.

- Must pass GIS criminal background investigation.

- Must possess at least basic proficiency with Windows® based computer systems (Word, Excel, etc.)

- Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
