Under the direction of the Elmore Alloy Plant Manager and in accordance with Global Security guidelines, the Security and Facilities Manager is responsible for physical security of the Elmore and Lorain facilities as well as the Elmore Services Department. This role is expected to serve as the site FSO and is expected to be able to receive Top Secret Department of Energy Security Clearance. This includes but is not limited to, external and internal surveillance, monitoring, visitor management and access control, site investigations, and ensuring compliance with government customer security standards. This includes but is not limited to CMMC Level 3 and NIST SP 800-171 physical security aspects. This role will lead, direct, plan, and manage the contract and Materion Security personnel and Training and Services Supervisor operations. Facilitate the duties and tasks of the security officers and ensures all daily job requirements are fulfilled. Oversee Training and Services Supervisor to ensure duty requirements are fulfilled. Develop a gap analysis and gap closure plan for any nonconformances to required security standards.


You will have the opportunity to:

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive physical security programs to protect the Elmore facility, its assets, and personnel.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
Coordinate and direct major security projects, such as the acquisition and installation of capital equipment and facility layout changes
Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsible for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in compliance with federal regulations.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of CUI.
Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees to ensure compliance with CUI protection requirements.
Liaise with government agencies and ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations, including NIST, ITAR, and DFARS
Lead investigations into security incidents, including theft, fraud, and breaches of security protocols.
Develop and implement incident response plans and coordinate with law enforcement agencies as necessary.
Track trends in incident reporting and develop action plans to mitigate identified risks
Ensure compliance with all corporate security policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
Prepare and submit regular security reports to senior management, including incident reports, audit findings, and compliance status.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security industry standards and best practices, and implement improvements as necessary
Supervise and manage security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and maintain a high-performing security team through effective leadership and motivation techniques
Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.


Education

Required: Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Administration, General Business, or Management.
Significant relevant military experience in a secure environment will be considered in lieu of degree.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field


Experience

7+ years’ experience in a security leadership role overseeing both contract and company personnel
3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with government customers and community representatives required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must act with integrity in the execution of duties.
Must have immediate concern for the safety and security of co-workers / visitors to the facility.
Must be able to quickly react and respond to high pressure situations.
Ability to plan and manage departmental budgets to accomplish financial objectives.
Working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, email, Power Point, Access, etc. is required.
Ability to use and manage electronic security operation systems.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. For individuals to be considered for a security clearance, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), conducts personnel security background investigations for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
