Vegetation Management Technicians

Mitchco Environmental Corp. is an Industrial Vegetation Management and Reclamation company operating out of Kitscoty, Alberta. We are currently seeking Herbicide Applicators for the 2026 Season (May 4th – Aug 31st).

Deadline for applications is April 15th, 2026 but positions may be filled prior to the deadline. Early application is recommended.

DUTIES INCLUDE

- Mixing and applying herbicides to oil lease sites, road sides, industrial facilities and reclaimed areas using 4X4 trucks, UTV’s and various spraying equipment

- Detailed record keeping of all herbicide applications including GIS/GPS mapping

- Daily record keeping of safety documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

- Valid H2S and First Aid tickets or willingness to obtain

- Current Alberta and/or Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicators Certificate an asset but not required

- Willingness to work long hours and weekends

- Agricultural background a definite asset

- Ability to identify some common and noxious weeds an asset

- Clean drivers abstract

- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to starting work

- Ability to keep neat, precise records of all duties performed

- Must be dependable and willing to follow instructions

- Must be physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding work

- Must be a positive person willing to contribute to a team environment!

- Work is primarily within a 150km radius of Lloydminster AB. Employees will be required to obtain accommodation in Lloydminster, Vermilion or surrounding area for the summer.

Competitive wages based upon experience as well as monthly performance/safety bonus ($22.00 - $28.00/hour + overtime + bonus)

Training and fees to obtain AB or SASK applicator license

Earnings for 2025 ranged from $19,000.00 - $29,000.00 for a 4 month term
