HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
COMPENSATION: $17-20/hour, based on skills and experience.
The purpose of the Scale Operator position is to accurately record weights and measures of inbound / outbound truck / car loads. Record peddler credentials and process and validate payout transactions.
- Answers telephone.
- Oversee scale operation.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner, provide quality customer service.
- Provide metal recycling information to customers.
- Transaction computer entries.
- Prepare daily/weekly ATM and cash reports.
- Balance and handle cash drawer on a daily basis.
- Prepares customer BOLs for outgoing shipments.
- Compiles and fax weights shipped to customers post shipments as per customer expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer competency Excel & Word.
- Weights and measures background a plus.
- Organizational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.

- One year of experience in a similar position a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
