Position Description:
An Industrial Painter/Sandblaster performs various surface preparation and painting tasks on industrial equipment, machinery, and structures. They use specialized tools and techniques to apply coatings, remove old paint, and prepare surfaces for painting. This role often involves working in various environments and potentially using different painting methods.
Key Responsibilities: Sandblasting: Removing old paint, rust, and other contaminants from surfaces using compressed air and abrasive materials.
Painting: Applying various types of paint and coatings to industrial equipment, structures, and machinery.
Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining sandblasting and painting equipment.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures when handling hazardous materials and equipment.
Quality Control: Ensuring that work meets quality standards and specifications.
Experience:
Previous experience in industrial painting and sandblasting
Knowledge:
Knowledge of industrial painting principles and practices, including surface preparation methods and paint types.
Technical Skills:
Ability to operate and maintain sandblasting equipment, spray guns, and other painting tools.
