About This Job

Position Title: Field Industrial Painter

Division: Field Coatings

Location: Poseyville, IN

Reports To: Field Coatings Operations Manager

Provide routine and preventative maintenance painting duties and paint application for a full range of specialized painting projects including large structures, pipe, tanks, towers, and industrial/commercial buildings or equipment.

Our ideal candidate will

•

Prepare items to be painted including all sanding, masking, repair work, and sandblasting

•

Remove protective coatings from equipment by sandblasting, perform field blasting as specified, and remove heavy deposits of grease or oil from surfaces

•

Maintain safety standards in the performance of duties

•

Clean up facilities and/or jobsite on a daily basis

•

Ensure manager is aware of any issues which can impact customer satisfaction and/or billing

•

Maintain good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including the return of tools to storage areas

•

Ensure all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork

•

Follow all company and common-sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment, when necessary

•

Contribute to our team environment by anticipating the needs of co-workers, bringing a positive attitude into our culture and showing an eagerness to discover and share new opportunities for our organization

•

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

•

Be able to work weekends as needed

Desired Qualifications

•

Experience with operating sandblaster, vapor blaster, and/or airless spray equipment preferred

•

Ability to operate vehicles and equipment (forklifts, hydraulic lifts, etc.)

•

Ability to lift 50 - 75 pounds as required without assistance

•

Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision

•

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace

•

Strong organizational skills

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
