PowerTec Distribution & Motor Control Corporation (formerly Arizona Electrical Apparatus is looking for an Industrial Paint Laborer. Incorporated in 1996, Powertec has evolved into a leading service and equipment provider in the power distribution system. We provide services to the mining, utility, oil, and gas companies.
Essential Duties
•
Provides general entry level support to the Paint department.
•
Assist in the preparation of non-painted surfaces utilizing orbital sanders and sandblasting.
•
Complies with chemical, waste, storage, disposal, and best practice.
•
Ensures area is clean.
•
Identifies and reports problems observed outside of normal use.
•
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
•
Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
•
Experience working with hand tools.
•
Experience with sanding, forklift, sandblasting, and powder coating operations.
•
Knowledge of OSHA.
Education/Experience
•
High School Diploma or equivalent.
•
Preferred one year of experience.
Physical Requirements
•
Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
•
Ability to work in extreme temperatures including over 100 degrees and under 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
•
Ability to traverse uneven terrain, warm surfaces, and cold surfaces.
•
Ability to squat, kneel, and lay prone for extended periods of time.
•
Ability to travel for up to three days a week.
•
Able to and comfortable working in confined spaces.
•
Ability to wear a respirator according to OSHA stands.
