Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Disposal Operator (Disposal Hand) to support daily operations at our saltwater and solids disposal facility. This position is responsible for safely unloading trucks, monitoring equipment, maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, and assisting with routine maintenance.
- Direct inbound water and solids trucks to proper unloading lanes
- Verify loads and vendors are approved before unloading
- Safely unload saltwater and solids following company SOPs
- Perform product checks on solids loads and reject non-compliant loads
- Ground trucks and bleed off pressure before opening valves
- Monitor pumps, hoses, valves, and flow rates during unloading
- Identify and report equipment issues, leaks, or unsafe conditions
- Perform daily inspections and assist with routine maintenance
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Accurately complete tickets, logs, and required documentation
- Communicate clearly with drivers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Comply with environmental regulations and facility permits
- Use required PPE at all times
- Immediately report spills, incidents, or near misses
- Oilfield or disposal facility experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate valves and pumps
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
