This position manages and maintains various existing accounts,while establishing new customer relationships and ensuring needs are met and/or surpassed. Key responsibilities involve coordination all planning phases for new products, forecasting, sales budgeting, quoting and negotiations. The position also works closely with various internal departments and provides excellent customer care and service.
Act as a liaison between assigned customers and internal departments
Coordinate every phase of product life cycle from RFQ to PPAP to SOP to engineering changes, and to managing final build-out and service parts arrangements that are associated with model change events at customers.
Mid to long term forecasting and sales budgeting.
Prepare quotes and negotiate prices and other business terms.
Smooth over conflicts between other departments and their counterparts at customers when deadlocked.
Must be willing to travel and be on the road at least 1-2 nights per week.
Prefer at least 3 years automotive OEM account managing experience.
Experience or familiarity with multi-cultural working environment is desirable.
Working experience in steel or metal industry preferred.
Extensive Excel skill and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
Must possess technical understanding of automotive parts specifications and ability to interpret customer specifications.
