This position is primarily responsible for servicing new and existing accounts through estimating/ quoting, order taking and communication with customers.
- Interpreting drawings and specifications provided by customers
- Understanding fabrication (shop) equipment and the time it takes to perform operations
- Using estimating tools to prepare cost estimates
- Preparing proposals using Armor based templates
- Communicate with vendors to obtain material pricing
- Additional items as assigned by manager
This position interacts with Customers, Outside Sales Reps, Vendors, Company Employees, and Shop Personnel.
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication a must
- Ability to read and interpret customer supplied project specifications
- Experience with AutoCAD a plus
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Prior estimating experience in capital equipment/industrial machinery manufacturing
- Accurate - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly to include computational tasks
- Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
- Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing
- Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures
- Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Ability to use MS Office tools (i.e. Excel, Word, Access
- Prior experience using an ERP system is a plus

This position uses a personal computer, fax machine, telephone and copier.
This position works primarily in an office environment but will spend time on the manufacturing floor.
