Position Summary
The Estimator/Sales Representative is responsible for identifying project opportunities, building customer relationships, and preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical sales environment and is looking to grow within a dynamic and innovative company.
- Identify new project opportunities and analyze bid specifications
- Develop and deliver accurate, competitive proposals using internal pricing tools
- Interpret technical drawings and translate them into precise cost estimates
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Refine project scopes, assist with budgeting, and support contract negotiations
- Ensure seamless communication across departments by distributing relevant project information
- Track multiple estimates, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and proposal processes
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in fabrication or marine structures
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and bid documents
- Knowledge of structural aluminum and floating structures is highly preferred
- Experience in contract negotiation and client-facing sales interactions
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and estimating documentation tools
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
- Base Salary: $75,000–$110,000, based on experience
