Electro-Mechanical, LLC
is seeking a motivated Sales & Application Engineer to support our customers across utility and industrial markets. This customer-facing role is ideal for candidates with inside sales experience or technical knowledge of electrical components such as pad-mounted switchgear and transformers. You’ll be part of a team that collaborates closely with customers to understand project needs and deliver timely, customized proposals. This role is essential to ensuring that customer requirements are met from inquiry through final delivery.
How You Will Make an Impact:
•Serve as a key customer contact, managing multiple inquiries per day with a focus on responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.
•Build and deliver competitive proposals by interpreting RFQs, working across internal departments, and ensuring scope alignment and pricing accuracy.
•Manage all proposal-related activities, including scheduling team deliverables and coordinating with engineering, operations, and business development to meet deadlines.
•Support customers throughout the full sales lifecycle—from initial inquiry to post-delivery follow-up—ensuring high satisfaction and long-term relationships.
•Maintain and organize project information, documentation, and customer communications within company systems.
•Partner with Business Development to share critical project and market intelligence, supporting broader sales and marketing initiatives.
•Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and Electro-Mechanical's capabilities to help position our solutions effectively.
What You Bring:
•Technical degree or hands-on experience in inside sales or electrical component knowledge (preferred).
•Ability to interpret technical documents such as electrical drawings (or willingness to learn).
•Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
•Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with a focus on active listening and responsiveness.
•Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer tools required for documentation and communication.
Work Environment & Travel:
•Primarily office-based with frequent use of computer systems.
•Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
•Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and move comfortably throughout the facility as needed.
